Overview

This programme runs at Coventry University London in October 2017 (3 year course) and January 2018 (accelerated 2.5 year course)

What will I learn? 

The first year provides a thorough grounding in the core aspects of business including: The Economic Environment of Business, Professional and Academic Skills Development, Introduction to Business Accounting, Foundations of Organisational Behaviour, Introduction to Marketing and International Business Cultures.

The second year builds on these and further develops your management analysis skills through the following modules: Management Data Analysis, Business Management and Decision-making Process, Entrepreneurship in a Global Context, Consumer Behaviour, Supply Chain and Operations Management, doing business in Europe. Thorough preparation for a period of study abroad or work placement is also undertaken early in this year before embarking upon this opportunity later in the year.

In the final year your core modules will include International Business Strategy, Advancing Career Development, International Marketing Strategy, Business Research Methods and International Human Resources Management. You will also be able to choose International Investment Analysis or Marketing Communications as optional modules.

In your final term, you will be given the opportunity to choose between the following projects*. Work Placement Project or Business Research Project or Global Business Simulation Project.



How will this course be taught? 

Modules are normally delivered through lectures and seminars of smaller groups of students. Seminars are interactive and may involve hypothetical problem questions, simulations, case studies and the analysis of more theoretical issues. 

How will I be assessed? 

We take a holistic approach to assessments helping students to become more critical, confident and independent. To make your learning process more interactive and engaging you will be assessed through group and individual presentations, exams, debates, tests and practical project work.

Teaching contact hours 

You can expect to attend up to 12 hours of lectures and seminars. For larger groups, knowledge casts last for up to one hour and seminars two hours. Seminars are interactive and may involve group discussions, debates and case studies. Personal study: 24 hours studying and revising in your own time each week.

In addition, you can meet your teaching staff during published office hour sessions, which will allow you to discuss problems or investigate further topics that interested you in a lecture or seminar.

How much does it cost?

Full-time Home and EU: £9,250

Included in the fees:

  • Tuition fee waiver for placement and study abroad year;
  • Specified core textbooks;
  • Any mandatory UK residential field trips;
  • Any mandatory UK site visits and trips;
  • 1,000 sides of black and white laser prints;

Additional costs not included in the fees:

  • You may have the opportunity to participate in field trips in the UK and abroad. These visits are not included in the course fee and prices will vary depending on the location of the trip.
