What will I learn? 

In year one you will be taught professional and academic skills for the fashion industry, international fashion industry and cultural studies, an introduction to contemporary fashion marketing, business and management essentials for future fashion managers, the history and the future of fashion and business cultures in a global fashion industry.

In your second year your modules will include digital communications in marketing and in fashion, personal branding and promotion, managing the sustainable fashion business, innovation and global entrepreneurship, fashion brands and the psychology of consumer behaviour and The London Fashion Project.

Third year modules will include directed fashion research, fashion industry content and careers, international strategic brand marketing, London fashion live project, fashion management and operations, creation of professional portfolio.

How will this course be taught? 

Throughout the course, you will work with academic and industry professionals to develop the relevant skills to research and understand the industry, develop the skills and knowledge employer’s desire, as well as receiving support on how to start your career even before you graduate.

You will be exposed to a real fashion business experience such as working with employers on buying and merchandising projects and developing expertise in digital media to research global trends and create brand campaigns. Sponsored internship opportunities (which students have the opportunity to apply for) will help you to tailor your experience in London and globally to acquire real work experience in a range of careers of your choice.

You will be assigned a personal tutor who will be able to review and discuss your progress and offer advice throughout your studies. You will also have access to a wide range of additional support from our complementary 'spotlight' workshops - designed to support the development of your study and research skills as well as enhancing your English language skills during the course.

How will I be assessed? 

You will be assessed through the completion of industry relevant coursework one of our commitments to you for a real business experience.

This will include the creation of digital media from brand strategies, experiential and digital campaigns, blogs, app and website design, as well as client- defined project deliverables and outcomes. You will also be required to engage with industry professionals through pitch presentations and industry standard management reports.

Coursework will be a mix of individual, peer-to-peer and group based work.

Teaching contact hours 

In a typical week you will have up to 12 contact hours of teaching and this will break down as:

Personal tutorial/small group teaching: 2 hours of tutorials each week

Large group teaching: 4 hours of lectures each week

Personal study: 24 hours each week reading, studying and revising in your own time
