Course information

Business law deals with the creation of new businesses and the issues that arise as existing businesses interact with their customers, members of the public, other companies, the government and other regulatory bodies. This area of the law draws on a variety of legal disciplines, including, intellectual property, real property, sales, employment law, bankruptcy and others.

How you'll be taught

Modules are normally delivered through large group lectures and seminars of 15 students. Seminars are interactive and may involve hypothetical problem questions, case studies and the analysis of more theoretical issues. In addition, your personal tutor will review and discuss your progress and will be available for advice.

International experience opportunities

We have links with a variety of excellent partner institutions that teach in English and where you can spend a study year in France, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Malta, the Netherlands and Sweden.

Throughout the course, where appropriate, staff will introduce comparative international elements into the curriculum. Other international experiences include live seminars with students abroad via web link, summer schools in the US, and with partners in Germany and Spain.
