  • Gain skills needed to become a skilled economist, manager, researcher, analyst or strategist
  • Explore real-life problems, supported by academics who are active researchers or experienced executives
  • Benefit from a course that provides an excellent pathway for a career as an economist, in business management, consulting, commerce, financial institutions and banking, the public sector and voluntary organisations, or opportunities for further study

The course will develop an understanding of the relevance of Economics specifically for business practice in the UK and internationally.

It makes full use of the innovative teaching methods developed by the University of Bedfordshire Business School. These include the first year Business Pod where integrated, project based units will set economics in the context of business as a whole and allow you to work with fellow students on other business-related courses.

The main tasks on these units come from our business partners and are often real questions they want to be answered. The final year project will provide you with an opportunity to apply your knowledge and tackle real life business problems by analysing real data and investigating contemporary economic policy issues.
