Course overview 

This course is for people who want to top-up an HND or Foundation Degree to a full honours degree. It covers both academic theory and practical skills. Modules include ‘Acting and Directing’, ‘Television Drama’, ‘Contemporary Theatre Practice’ and ‘Applied Theatre’. Your tutors will help you towards excellent communication and creative skills. These are valued by many types of employer, so after the course your career options go well beyond possible work as an actor or performer.

  • Contemporary Approaches to Shakespeare (20 credits)
  • Group Performance/Theatre Production (20 credits)
  • Independent Study/Research (20 credits)

Teaching and Assessment 

Learning is studio-based and involves regular contact between staff and students. There are also workshops, lectures and seminar discussions. You can expect an element of e-learning and independent learning.

Tutors seek to provide an environment that allows you to experiment and test out a variety of ideas and approaches to performance.

Assessments are often practical or performance-based. There are also essays and evaluations.

Fees and funding

The annual fee for this course is:
