With its distinctive focus on corporate engagement, responsible management and internationalisation, the course offers students the option to select two modules from across three focus areas, supply chain management focus, leadership focus, and global focus, all of which are designed to help you further your development in a specific area of interest.

Your advanced studies of management theory, in areas such as project management, applied marketing, logistics and supply chain, will be repeatedly reinforced with real-life practical and responsible application – through case studies, work placements*, field trips and industry-sponsored projects (subject to availability, a competitive application process, additional costs and/or meeting applicable visa requirements). Each module adheres to the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), promoting personal and professional ethical behaviour by presenting a range of ethical dilemmas designed to expose you to professional codes of conduct. You will also be given the opportunity to undertake continuing professional development (CPD) workshops in personal understanding, business awareness and core business skills to help ensure you are workplace ready on graduation.
In Year Three, you will have the opportunity to undertake an optional 12-month work placement*, in the UK or overseas. Our Faculty employability team, will offer support in helping you secure a placement. Past placements secured by students have included with high-profile firms in aerospace, retail, technology and luxury goods.
As well as our focus on corporate engagement and responsible management, you should discover an international theme running throughout your studies, with many modules applying business management principles in a global context. This focus is further supported by the diversity of our students and staff, who currently come from a wide variety of different countries, sharing their experience of cultural and organisational differences from around the world – which can often make or break a business opportunity. You can also gain the opportunity of a valuable international business experience by attending an international field trip*.
