The BSc (Hons) Global Events Management course gives students the chance to explore events management in an international context, which should allow them to gain a holistic understanding of the field while ensuring that, upon successful completion of the course, they leave the university as career-ready individuals.
The course seeks to provide a developmental framework that truly immerses students within events management – with the aim of enhancing their career-readiness and employability, and fostering their forward thinking, creativity and innovation.
Located in the number one EMEA city for events activities, the course considers a broad range of events, with particular focus on business events – including conferences, exhibitions, shows, meetings, product launches and awards events.

The BSc (Hons) Global Events Management course aims to enable students who successfully complete the course to forge successful careers in the global events industry. It will provide students with the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and understanding that they will need upon graduation to operate across the events industry in a broad range of roles.
At the heart of the course is the delivery of a real business experience. This is achieved through the use of operational case studies, guest speakers (subject to availability), field visits to witness events in action and behind the stage, producing live events projects, opportunities for a placement within an event or events related organisation, volunteering for events and related organisations, and business simulations.

This course also allows students to join directly to year 2, subject to the completion of a level 4 qualification, or directly to year 3, subject to the completion of a level 5 qualification. Please note that students joining directly to year 2 or 3 within the 2021/22 academic year will study a slightly different BSc Global Events Management course specification.
