Whether you have a degree in graphic design, or a background in business, Solent’s unique blended learning PGC Professional Development Planning will help you better plan your career development. You’ll enhance your professional development skills to help boost employability within your chosen industry. Or you could work towards changing your career direction.
Delivery of this unique, flexible course is predominantly online. Online learning is supported by attending two Saturdays at our East Park Terrace campus. You’ll have the opportunity for one-to-one feedback with your tutor online, as well as peer support through the sessions. You’ll also be encouraged and supported to seek relevant work placements and work experience.
The course will enable you to discover and reflect on aspects such as your work preferences, strengths and areas for development. You’ll also explore your resilience and conflict style, effectiveness and career interests.
The programme encourages self-reflection based on key theories, strategies and tools related to professional development planning. By the end of the course, you’ll have a clearer idea of your future career trajectory and the competencies and skillsets required by employers.
To aid study you’ll be introduced to a range of research, enquiry, and analytical tools and approaches to enhance your understanding of relevant industry areas. These will help you identify your place in the industry and articulate your potential contribution to the sector.
