This exciting new course delivered from September 2019 is approved against the new Nursing and Midwifery Council Future Nurse: Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses (May 2018). These standards set out the knowledge and skills you as the next generation of adult nurses will learn, to enable you to deliver world class person-centred, evidence-based care.
This practical nursing course will give you the skills and experience you need to care for adults in a range of healthcare settings. With equal time spent on practice placement and in the classroom, you will graduate ready to find rewarding work as a nurse.
On Wednesday 18 December 2019 the Government announced it is introducing an annual maintenance payment of at least £5,000 for all new and continuing pre-registration nursing, midwifery and many allied health students, from September 2020.
The funding will not need to be repaid and students will also be able to continue to access funding for tuition and maintenance loans from the Student Loans Company. You can find details of this announcement on the Gov.uk website.
Designed with input from students, service users and our partners in the NHS and voluntary and independent sectors, the course will prepare you for current nursing practice.
This course is offered at both our Ealing campus and Berkshire campus. As you will spend half your course gaining experience on placement, you should choose a course location that you can travel to easily. This course is based in London but we also offer BNursing (Hons) Adult Nursing in Berkshire.
