COURSE OVERVIEW
Study Media and French with us and you will learn practical skills to equip you for an exciting career in the media, marketing or related fields, as well as knowledge of French language, literature and culture to open up a range of wider international career opportunities.
You will have the chance to explore radio and video production, digital and social media, journalism, public relations, branding, marketing and more, learning from experienced industry professionals and leading academics.
You will also study French topics including translation and language teaching, and have the benefit of a year in France, studying at a university, teaching in a school or working in a business.

You will have the chance to attend workshops and seminars run by guest speakers as part of the course.
YOUR MEDIA AND FRENCH EXPERIENCE
We offer a varied and flexible degree, so you can shape your course to match your career goals as well as developing your own interests.
You can choose topics including creative media practice, radio and video production, digital and social media, journalism, public relations including strategy, branding and marketing, media theory, media law and film, as well as an optional creative writing module.
You will also study the rich diversity of French language, culture, film, literature, history, translation and language teaching.
You will spend your third year in France, studying, teaching, or working – an experience which will greatly enhance your employment prospects.
You will have an academic mentor for any support you need, and there is the chance to study some modules through the medium of Welsh.

92.3% of French single and joint honours graduates are employed or in further study within six months of graduating (DLHE 2013/14).
