Learn how to design, develop and manage scalable Enterprise-level information systems within the Enterprise and in public computing Clouds, with emphasis on computing and management techniques.
You will learn the principles and techniques necessary for designing, developing, and evaluating Enterprise Information System (EIS) that are distributed, interoperable, intelligent, and adaptive to change. In addition, the major project element of the course will allow you an opportunity to develop greater subject specialism in one specific Cloud or Enterprise computing topic of your choice.

Practical work experience can help you in your studies and is often paid. It can enhance your commercial awareness and your ability to link theory and practice which will be an invaluable skill in your future career. Although a work placement is highly recommended, obtaining one is based on an individual’s efforts and is not guaranteed.
Placement opportunities
This Cloud and Enterprise Computing postgraduate degree offers you the opportunity to take a one-year placement. If you choose this option, you will receive extensive help in obtaining a valuable one-year paid work placement and continued support during the placement period. Recent placement salaries have ranged from £10,000 to £35,000.
Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice
To qualify for the additional qualification of Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice (PGDIPP) you must submit a work placement portfolio which includes a placement diary, reflective report and updated CV, as well as deliver an oral presentation on your placement experience.
Help and support
We will work closely with you to help you strengthen your CV and interview techniques. During the placement year, an academic member of staff will visit at least twice to check on your progress and offer any advice.
