This degree focuses on the business and management of the sports industry. Students study a combination of management, policy and sociology units, developing a thorough and critical understanding of sport management issues and theory.
With employability at its core, the course enables students to develop practical and professional skills through a four-week work placement unit. To complement their degree studies and help to further boost employability, students are also encouraged to study for an NGB coaching qualification.
The course team’s established industry links have provided previous students with the opportunity for valuable industry work experience. Past students have also benefitted from talks delivered by guest lecturers, giving insight around current issues in the industry to help build their knowledge and network of contacts.
