Specifically designed for anyone who may have already obtained an appropriate EASA Part-66 certification or a relevant HND, or equivalent qualification, this top-up course allows you to gain a full BSc (Hons) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in one calendar year.
Building on your existing knowledge of the aircraft maintenance sector, the BSc (Hons) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Top-Up) course consists of academic study in our purpose-built Aerospace Centre fully approved by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
It has been designed in consultation with industry professionals and is continually reviewed to ensure it meets the current professional demands of the aerospace industry. This course is also available at our Dubai campus.
You will begin your studies in September and initially, undertake three introductory modules to get you up to speed with course content prior to progressing to the final year of the bachelors degree. The introductory modules are:
- Fundamentals of Business Engineering and Management
- Human Factors Analysis
- Aviation Maintenance Legislation
On successful completion of the introductory modules, you will study a range of subjects that will allow you to evaluate and analyse key challenges in the management of aircraft maintenance. You will learn about planning, operations, regulations, health and safety, and management, which are important issues within aircraft maintenance engineering. You will gain an insight into future technological developments within the aerospace sector and you will also complete a project in a topic of your choice in the subject area.
