About the Course
The course structure meets individual needs and aspirations of proposed participants and combines elements of Financial Management with the specialist area and functions of emerging Technologies.
It is designed for individuals who want to develop both core financial management skills and enhance their knowledge and expertise in the application of information technologies in the key financial management areas.You have access to our recently refurbished and state-of-the-art trading room where most of your lectures will take place.
The room is equipped with high performance computers with access to industry leading software and applications like Reuters Eikon.There is potential for industry visits, which are already available to our Finance students, (Bank of England, London Stock Exchange etc.) and gain from the knowledge and experience of the academic staff. As this is a dynamic sector of the finance industry, there are also opportunities to attend Fintech events and expos. Additionally, there is the potential to invite speakers from our network (through IES, LIBF etc.).
The course has been mapped to the Certificate in Corporate Finance from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and the Certificate in Retail and Digital Banking from the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF). Both certificates are recognised by the industry regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the sector, and certifies that holders have an advanced level of understanding of the key areas of Finance and Banking
