Specifically designed for students who have already obtained a football-related Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification, the BSc (Hons) Football Coaching, Development and Administration (Top Up) allows you to gain a full Bachelor of Science degree in less than year.
This unique football coaching course focuses on both the football and business-related knowledge needed to develop professionals for the football industry. You will consolidate your learning and start to specialise your work-based learning experience in line with your career ambitions. Developed in partnership with professional coaching organisations, this football coaching course allows you to study and gain work placements across the globe.
The BSc (Hons) Football Coaching, Development and Administration course has two possible study routes – on campus or via blended learning. Whichever option you choose, you will be provided with knowledge of a holistic approach to help prepare your for working in the rapidly expanding community football coaching and development market.
You will study a broad array of subjects including Performance Football Coaching, Strategic Sports Development and The Business of Football.
Year Three – the top up year of study – will consolidate your learning and start to specialise your work-based learning experience in line with your career ambitions.

Teaching
Blended learning students have access to an online library, Blackboard (online learning) and other learning materials, and will spend time at the USW Sport Park to complete practical teaching.
You will complete work based learning that is managed through tutorials and a mentoring programme. The work based learning programme can be completed within your own football work environment.
Learning and teaching methods include lectures, interactive workshops, practical sessions, work-based learning, tutorials and online delivery methods. This range of teaching and learning approaches ensures that you gain a wide variety of skills.
On campus students will attend timetabled lectures and practical sessions at USW Sport Park as per level four and five.
