The key aim of the shipping and port management degree is for students to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills to prepare them for their future careers and give them the best opportunities to begin their chosen career path.
As a direct benefit of our accreditation from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), students will receive exemptions from the academic requirements for membership at either ‘chartered member’ or ‘membership level’ of CILT. In the same way, students will be entitled to exemptions from two of the ICS exams (Professional Qualifying Examinations) required to gain ICS membership (an internationally recognised mark of professionalism in the shipping industry).
