This programme seeks to ground students in the technical skills required to work effectively in the field of artificial intelligence. It assumes students coming onto the degree will have a solid foundation of knowledge in mathematical and programming skills.
The course seeks to build on your existing skills through a combination of modules. The modules will seek to enhance these technical skills and challenge your ability to apply these skills to solve real-world challenges.
You will explore business development and innovation and responsibility, which will help you understand how your newfound skills in artificial intelligence may be commercialised and applied to business and other domains.
As well as a focus on the technical aspects of building and working with AI, the programme also seeks to introduce students to the critical debates surrounding the responsibilities of working with and developing artificial intelligence. To this end, the programme includes a module devoted to the question of ethics and artificial intelligence.
