This programme provides an inclusive, current and versatile curriculum of study which reflects the needs of the football industry for postgraduate students, with options to study either full or part time. The course looks to support the continuing professional development of football coaches and those working in football or a closely related field.
More than ever football is driven by statistics and analysis. From a players’ fitness to their in-game attributes, numbers play a huge part in the modern game. This programme will take an in-depth look at the numbers that make the game tick, alongside theoretical and practical coaching disciplines.
The course will enable students to develop a systematic and in-depth understanding of knowledge, and a critical awareness of current problems and/or new insights for the advanced study of football coaching and analysis.
Students will utilise their advanced knowledge and understanding of football coaching to help them deal with complex issues systematically and creatively, problems, and communicate their conclusions clearly.
The majority of classes for this programme will be taught in the state-of-the-art facilities at Belle Vue Sports Village in order to allow a combination of practical and theoretical learning. All UCFB Etihad Campus students have access to the array of first-class UCFB facilities in the Etihad Stadium and surrounding Etihad Campus.
Career prospects include highly sought-after careers within a professional and semi-professional football team such as a coaching, match and performance analyst or operations manager at multidisciplinary teams.
This ties in with students’ career development, ultimately leading to them finding the right place within the football and sports business. For those who wish to extend their studies at the end of their degree, opportunities to study at Masters level will be encouraged.
Graduates of the MSc Football Coaching & Analysis programme will be awarded degrees by our esteemed academic partner institution, Bucks New University.
