The BEng Civil Engineering (Extended) course explores pioneering approaches in civil engineering and the ways these can solve real-world problems. Our modules cover construction management, engineering geology, hydraulics and soil mechanics. You will also be able to specialise in water engineering, bridge design and concrete structures during the course.
Career options for our civil engineering graduates include roles with consulting engineering companies, contracting organisations, and national and local government. The course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators on behalf of the Engineering Council for meeting the partial academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
