The construction industry globally has high demand for graduate engineers. To ensure you are equipped to meet the needs of this exciting industry, our course covers three main themes: construction technology, building engineering and management.
This course has been designed with input from industry practitioners and professional organisations to meet industry requirements for graduates in this field. It has been developed in consultation with the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) and Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) for the accreditation of the course.
You will be provided with unique opportunities to develop the employability skills required by construction companies, from small to medium enterprises to large multinational construction companies, through work experience opportunities, live briefs, site visits and guest lecturers.
You will also have access to excellent lecturers with industry experience and specialist design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Project.
What will I study?
Our course covers the understanding, application and management of materials, construction technology and services in the construction and maintenance of buildings. You will learn about the construction of both low and high rise residential, office and commercial buildings, leaving you with a holistic understanding of the sector. Embedded within this curriculum are Digital Technologies, Sustainability and Health and Safety topics.
How will I be taught and assessed?
You will be assessed through a number of means including:

- practical laboratory and field work

- exams.
