Our BSc (Hons) Computing and Web Development degree programme is founded in software engineering and web technologies. We focus on the technical side of web-based applications and services for working in industries that require expertise in areas such as:

- Network industries.
You will also get opportunities to expand your knowledge both inside and outside of the lecture theatre. Students have previously visited sites of historical importance, including Bletchley Park, to learn more about the history of computing and how it impacted the world.

You can also benefit from BucksAnywhere, a web service which provides access to many of the software applications we use for teaching and studying. BucksAnywhere can be used from your own Windows or Mac device or from a University owned PC or laptop, from any location.
What will I study?
In the first year, you’ll acquire programming, network, and professional skills.
In your second year you will expand these to more advanced web applications, architectures, databases and emerging standards for mobile and cloud deployment of services.
In your final year you will consolidate skills in web application development and pursue specialisms in mobile, database and Artificial Intelligence technologies. You will also integrate your skills and showcase your knowledge by undertaking a Final Year Project.
