About the Course
If football is your passion and you want to work with footballers to help them optimise their game in training and competition, this unique and innovative course offers you the theory, practice and experience you need to kick-off an exciting career.
Your studies will cover the physical, physiological and technical aspects of football, and give you the practical and technical skills needed to become a practitioner in the football industry. You’ll gain experience in elite and sub-elite football, and your study will include nutrition as well as specialist modules in strength and condition, recovery and training load, talent identification and development and performance analysis.
You will learn from top class professionals within the football industry, and with staff who have worked with governing bodies such as the FA, UEFA and FIFA as well as people from specific professional football teams. Your lecturers have a wide research portfolio within applied and environmental physiology, biomechanics and performance analysis within the football industry and other team sports.
The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) is a strategic partner of the English Premier League (EPL), aiming to raise the standard of the application of sport and exercise science and promoting evidence-based practice in high performance sport within the UK.

This course develops your employability skills through its embedded foundation knowledge, skills and application for professional accreditation with bodies including the Football Association and Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). It will also give you the opportunity to gain recognised coaching awards, such as the FA Levels 1 and 2.
